Explosive growth of sales of hook and loop tapes, mainly in the textile industry. Most articles are standard tape.
1990s
Alfatex increasingly focuses on specialisations and technical markets. Further development of glues, start of punching, splicing, etc. Further development of sales: establishment of sales offices in the Netherlands and France through the acquisition of Fixline and Arcotex, respectively.
2000’s
Ongoing growth of Alfatex. Establishment of sales offices in Germany, Austria and England. Development of sales focused on Eastern Europe. Establishment of Polish sales office responsible for Eastern Europe. Initial expansion further eastwards and to Turkey. Further technical developments driven by R&D, including: - magnetisable hook and loop fasteners - antistatic hook and loop fasteners
- thermal adhesives - antibacterial hook and loop fasteners Technical possibilities for the automotive, aviation and other sectors are increased through the further growth of R&D.
